A Morgagni hernia is characterised by the failure of the pars tendinalis of the costochondral arches to fuse with the pars sternalis. This anatomical deficiency, which occurs on the right side in approximately 90% of cases, allows for the herniation of abdominal contents—most frequently the large intestine or omentum—into the thoracic cavity.

Granulosa Cell Tumour in a Spayed Cat With Ovarian Remnant Syndrome and Hyperestrogenaemia Without Estrus Signs

Granulosa cell tumour arising from ovarian remnant tissue can occur in spayed cats without overt estrus signs, despite marked hyperestrogenaemia. In this case, CT showed a large abdominal mass contiguous with ovarian vasculature; surgery and histopathology confirmed granulosa cell tumour with hepatic metastasis.
