EXPLORING OMISSION ERRORS IN STUDENT TRANSLATIONS [PDF]
This study examined omission as one common type of translation errors, which involve the deletion of necessary items in sentences. Omission errors are particularly prevalent in early stages of second language learning, where essential elements are often ...

Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.

This article presents an experimental and numerical modal investigation of composite sandwich structures using surfboards as model systems. By comparing different core materials and reinforcement strategies, the study demonstrates how local stiffeners influence vibrational response and introduce characteristic modal features, highlighting modal ...

Manufacturing problems such as heat treatment‐induced cracking hinder the widespread application of the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process to superalloys. In this study, cracks in the LPBF components of Inconel 738LC superalloy are characterized after heat treatment at various temperature ranges, revealing two distinct cracking behaviors.

Digitalizing electroplating requires both domain knowledge and interoperability. This work introduces PlatOn, a domain ontology for trivalent chromium plating and coating characterization, and a hybrid pipeline that aligns it to a mid‐level reference ontology by combining eight similarity metrics with language model reasoning. Expert‐validated mappings

Retained guidewires in central venous catheterisation: An analysis of omission errors [PDF]
Complete intravascular loss of guidewires in patients is an on-going medical concern. This research investigates the guidewire insertion and removal procedure by using a common omission error model by James Reason to identify procedural disposition to ...

We apply a foundational machine‐learning interatomic potential based on the graph atomic cluster expansion (GRACE) to simulate the commercial Ni‐based single‐crystal superalloy CMSX‐4. Hybrid Monte‐Carlo/molecular dynamics sampling resolves short‐range order in the γ phase and L12 sublattice occupancies in the γ’ phase and connects them to stacking ...
