Macromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 10, October 2026.Electron‐beam irradiation of ground tire rubber (GTR) in water activates its surface through water‐radiolysis‐generated oxidants, without altering the rubber's internal structure. Incorporated into natural rubber compounds, the treatment improves the tensile strength by 30% and tear strength by 42% at low doses.
