IEEE Transactions on Systems Science and Cybernetics, 1968
This paper describes a system for monitoring a General Purpose Simulation System (GPSS) run while the run is in progress. The on-line monitor provides the ability to select and display statistics related to the GPSS entities. The IBM 2250 and the IBM 2260 display consoles are used as interface devices.

On-line infrared spectroscopy for bioprocess monitoring
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2010One of the major aims of bioprocess engineering is the real-time monitoring of important process variables. This is the basis of precise process control and is essential for high productivity as well as the exact documentation of the overall production process.

On-line monitoring: a tutorial
Computer, 1995Online monitoring can complement formal techniques to increase application dependability. The article outlines the concepts and identifies the activities that comprise event based monitoring, describing several representative monitoring systems. It focuses on four areas: dependability, performance enhancement, correctness checking, and security. >

On-line polymerase chain reaction (PCR) monitoring
Journal of Biochemical and Biophysical Methods, 1998In this short note, we present the results of a case study for monitoring the whole polymerase chain reaction (PCR) process (all steps) with a glass fiber fluorometer that was described in a former publication. To utilize this fluorometer, which was originally constructed for a PCR machine with three thermostating devices, a new thermostating device ...

On-line monitoring of power curves
Renewable Energy, 2009A data-driven approach to the performance analysis of wind turbines is presented. Turbine performance is captured with a power curve. The power curves are constructed using historical wind turbine data. Three power curve models are developed, one by the least squares method and the other by the maximum likelihood estimation method.

On-line Monitoring of Bioprocesses Using HPLC
2020Traditional fermentation process development has used either batch or fed-batch operation and in-process monitoring to control, for instance, temperature, pH, agitation, aeration, pressure, and feed rates. This chapter discusses recent progress made in adapting high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis for on-line monitoring of industrial ...

Monitoring on-line integrated technologies for operational reliability — monitor
Air & Space Europe, 2000This article presents an overview of the European Union supported project MONITOR (Monitoring ON-line Integrated Technologies for Operational Reliability). The project has attempted to provide the tools by which the diagnosis of a fault or the prognosis of impending failure can be given for airframe structures.
