Electrocatalytic Coupling Conversion of Methane by Dual‐Site Control in Nickel Oxyhydroxide

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electrocatalytic coupling conversion of methane (CH4) is accomplished on the nickel oxyhydroxide (NiOOH), wherein the Ni─O dual‐site is triggered via the proper electronic interaction, synergistically promoting the C─H activation and C─C formation, enabling a selective and efficient C2 product generation route under ambient conditions. Cross-scale Coupling Analysis of Once-through Steam Generator of Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu, 2022
There are a series of complex physical phenomena in once-through steam generators (OTSG), such as full-regime flow boiling and phase-change heat transfer from supercooled water to superheated steam, coupled heat transfer between tube side and shell side.

Mathematical modelling and design of an advanced once-through heat recovery steam generator

open access: yesComputers & Chemical Engineering, 2003
The once-through heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) design is ideally matched to very high temperature and pressure, well into the supercritical range. Moreover this type of boiler is structurally simpler than a conventional one, since no drum is required.

Interfacial Water Coordination on Ruthenium Oxide Nanoparticles Confined Within Covalent Organic Framework and Its Effect on Electrochemical Nitrate Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate how oxygen‐deficient ruthenium oxide (RuOx) nanoparticles confined within covalent organic framework achieve highly efficient nitrate‐to‐ammonia conversion. Strong interaction between RuOx nanoparticles and COF results in modified interfacial hydrogen‐bond water network and adsorption of nitrogenous intermediates.

ZrO2 Aerogel‐Supported Pd Nanoparticles for Photothermal CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanoparticle‐based aerogels are promising catalysts for photothermal reactions due to optical transparency, high surface area, and low thermal conductivity. Here, we present deposition of Pd nanoparticles on ZrO2 aerogel granules by a wet‐impregnation approach.

Matrix Stiffness Induces Endothelial Network Senescence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using a 3D human in vitro model that decouples mechanical stress from inflammatory or biochemical signals, matrix stiffening induces a senescence phenotype in endothelial networks. This mechano‐induced senescence activates Notch signaling, and pharmacologic Notch inhibition attenuates this stiffness‐induced senescence.

Label‐Free Myelin Fingerprinting: An Adult Human Post‐Mortem Brain Slice Platform via Coherent Anti‐Stokes Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A serum‐free, air–liquid interface organotypic slice culture model preserves human post‐mortem corpus callosum tissue, successfully recovering from slicing trauma to reflect the donor's underlying disease state. Pairing label‐free Coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microscopy with k‐means clustering enables objective, high‐resolution ...
