Genetic analysis of growth and maturity in pink salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha)
Genome, 1988Variation in growth and sexual maturity was examined for five stocks of pink salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) spawning at different times in British Columbia. In each stock, four males were mated with eight females in a nested breeding design, and the juveniles were reared for 500 d after fry emergence.

Russian Journal of Marine Biology, 2002Data on catching humpback salmon Oncorhynchus gorbuscha at the age of 0 + and chum salmon Oncorhynchus keta at the age of 1+ in the Ilyushina River (Kunashir Island) in the period of spawning migration are given. The sex of fish, the body length, the stage of gonad maturity, and the number and width of sclerites on scales are indicated.

Kinetics of salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) quality changes during thermal processing
2007The objective of this study was to investigate the reaction kinetics along with changes in salmon quality during high temperature thermal processing. Small samples (D 30 mm H 6 mm) cut from pink salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) fillets were sealed in aluminum containers and heated in an oil bath to simulate a commercial thermal process.

Serial blood samples were withdrawn via an indwelling aortic catheter and analyzed for lactate ion. 2. 2.
