One-dimensional electroosmosis consolidation model considering variable saturation
The existing models for electroosmosis are based on the hypothesis of fully saturated soil regime. Variable saturation occurs in the soil regime, thus a new model is expected to improve the calculation accuracy.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Fluid Biomarkers of Disease Burden and Cognitive Dysfunction in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
ABSTRACT Objective Identifying objective biomarkers for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is crucial to improving diagnosis and establishing clinical trial and treatment endpoints. This study evaluated fluid biomarkers in PSP versus controls and their associations with regional 18F‐PI‐2620 tau‐PET, clinical, and cognitive outcomes.

One-dimensional consolidation of unsaturated fine-grained soils
In this study, one-dimensional consolidation of fine-grained soils is considered. By taking into account the results of the infiltration theory, a new approach, which is applicable to soils in either saturated or unsaturated conditions, is given.

Gravity‐Dependent Modulation of Downbeat Nystagmus: Insights From Velocity‐Storage Dysfunction
ABSTRACT Objective Downbeat nystagmus varies with head position, a phenomenon termed gravity‐dependent modulation. We aimed to clarify its mechanism using a velocity‐storage model. Methods In 10 patients with downbeat nystagmus due to cerebellar disorders, we recorded eye movements at different pitch‐ and roll‐axis head positions.

Analytical Solutions of Linear Finite-Strain One-Dimensional Consolidation
Numerical solutions of linear finite-strain one-dimensional consolidation of both initially unconsolidated and initially fully consolidated soil layers with both one-way and two-way drainage have been available for some time. However, no solutions of the

One-dimensional fluid diffusion induced by constant-rate flow injection: Theoretical analysis and application to the determination of fluid permeability and specific storage of a cored rock sample [PDF]
We describe the conceptual design and first application of a new method for simultaneously measuring the fluid permeability and specific storage of a rock sample.

The nonlinear flow law and soil boundaries greatly affect the dissipation process of soil consolidation. Thus, to study the impact of nonlinear flow under impeded drainage boundaries, the classical non-Darcian flow model described by non-Newtonian index ...
