Data‐Driven Distributed Safe Control Design for Multi‐Agent Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 40, Issue 1, Page 137-150, January 2026.
This paper presents a data‐driven control barrier function (CBF) technique for ensuring safe control of multi‐agent systems (MASs) with uncertain linear dynamics. A data‐driven quadratic programming (QP) optimization is first developed for CBF‐based safe control of single‐agent systems using a nonlinear controller. This approach is then extended to the

The legacy of the Cartwright–Littlewood collaboration

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Mary L. Cartwright and John E. Littlewood published a short “preliminary survey” in 1945 describing results of their investigation of the forced van der Pol equation ÿ−k(1−y2)ẏ+y=bλkcos(λt+a)$$\begin{equation*} \ddot{y}-k(1-y^2)\dot{y}+y = b \lambda k \cos (\lambda t+a) \end{equation*}$$in which b,λ,k,a$b,\lambda,k,a$ are parameters with k$k$

Existence of solutions to infinite elastic beam equations with unbounded nonlinearities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
This article concerns the existence of unbounded solutions to fourth-order boundary-value problem on the half-line with two-point boundary conditions. One-sided Nagumo condition plays a special role as it allows an asymmetric unbounded behavior on the

An Overlapping One‐Step Multiderivative Hybrid Block Method for Solving Second‐Order Initial Value Problems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This paper presents a one‐step multiderivative hybrid block method of Order 12 that incorporates an overlapping strategy, in which intrastep points from the previous block are reused in the current step to enhance accuracy and stability when solving linear and nonlinear initial value problems.

Numerical Study of Fourth‐Order Volterra Partial Integrodifferential Equation With Weakly Singular Kernel via Subdivision Collocation Approach

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In the present article, an emerging subdivision‐based technique is developed for the numerical solution of linear Volterra partial integrodifferential equations (LVPIDEs) of order four with a weakly singular kernel. To approximate the spatial derivatives, the basis function of the subdivision scheme is used, whereas the time discretization is done with

An Optimized Block Hybrid Spectral Simple Iteration Methods for Solving Nonlinear Evolution Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 126, Issue 24, 30 December 2025.
ABSTRACT This study presents a new optimized block hybrid method and spectral simple iteration method (OBHM‐SSIM) for solving nonlinear evolution equations. In this method, we employed a combination of the spectral collocation method in space and the optimized block hybrid method in time, along with a simple iteration scheme to linearize the equations.

Rapid‐Onset Therapeutic Effects of Delta Opioid Receptor Agonists on Depression‐Like Behaviors Induced by Chronic Social Defeat Stress

open access: yesNeuropsychopharmacology Reports, Volume 45, Issue 4, December 2025.
Delta opioid receptor agonists improved social avoidance, depression, and anxiety‐like symptoms induced by chronic social defeat stress within 14 days of chronic administration. Furthermore, the therapeutic effects were observed earlier than with the existing antidepressant paroxetine (28 days).

Resolution of a persistent pneumothorax by blood patch pleurodesis in a cat (Felis catus) with primary pulmonary lymphoma

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 4, December 2025.
Abstract An 18‐year‐old, spayed, female, domestic shorthair cat was presented to our hospital with acute dyspnoea following an episode of vomiting. Thoracic radiography revealed a severe pneumothorax. Despite multiple thoracocenteses, the pneumothorax persisted. Under general anaesthesia, computed tomography revealed multiple pulmonary masses.

The Developmental Social Policy Standstill: Cash Payout Schemes Amid the Covid‐19 Pandemic in Four East Asian Economies

open access: yesAsian Politics &Policy, Volume 17, Issue 4, October 2025.
ABSTRACT In response to the Covid‐19 pandemic, the governments of Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea implemented direct cash disbursements to citizens in 2020 and 2021. This paper assesses whether these near‐simultaneous universal cash payout schemes presage a broader transformation in the welfare paradigm of these East Asian economies ...

Super‐Enhancer‐Mediated DLX5 Activation Defines Regulatory Mechanisms in Human Embryonic Stem Cell‐Derived Osteoblasts

open access: yesDevelopment, Growth &Differentiation, Volume 67, Issue 7, Page 406-416, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Osteoblast differentiation is essential for skeletal development and homeostasis. Although bone marrow‐derived mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (BM‐MSCs) are commonly used to study osteoblast differentiation in the context of bone homeostasis, their relevance to osteoblast differentiation during human skeletal development remains unclear.
