The Charter of the French Language (1977) made Quebec a unilingual francophone province. Most Quebec anglophones lives in Montreal; 70% report that they are bilingual (2006 census). Bilingualism is also high in young francophones and allophones, making Montreal a perfect site for contact phenomena.

Operation Limits of Integrated Photo‐Rechargeable Batteries

This study elucidates the operational limitations of integrated photo‐rechargeable batteries. We demonstrate that the photo‐charging process is fundamentally restricted not only by material‐to‐material energy level alignment but also by transient capacitive charge accumulation within the cathode framework.

Multimarket Contact and Collusion in Online Retail

When firms meet in multiple markets, they can leverage punishment ability in one market to sustain collusion in another. This is the first paper to test this theory for multiproduct retailers that sell consumer goods online. With data on the universe of consumer goods sold online in Sweden, I estimate that multimarket contact increases prices.
