Three‐Dimensional Hierarchical Nanowire‐Networks with Deep‐Focus Tolerance and Adhesion Robustness for Harsh‐Environment SERS Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D nanowire‐network SERS substrate with robust adhesion is developed, featuring pronounced z‐direction optical activity, ultralow detection limit (1.5 × 10−13 M), and excellent signal uniformity (RSD < 10%). Enabled by enhanced light scattering, increased optical density of states, and structural reinforcement, the substrate demonstrates stable, high‐

Digital Technology and Procedural Justice: Towards a Geography of Justice

open access: yesTilburg Law Review
Dispute resolution in the hands of courts has long been criticised as problematic. Digital technology and innovation are changing dispute resolution, and this has an impact on procedural justice. This paper scrutinises how technology (tech) is responding

An optimistic fair e-commerce protocol for large e-goods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Suppose two entities that do not trust each other want to exchange some arbitrary data over a public channel. A fair exchange protocol ensures that both parties get what they want or neither gets anything.

Hybrid Microdiscs for Magnetically Induced Non‐Cytotoxic Thermal Actuation and Programmable Biomolecule Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hybrid magnetic microdiscs with customizable size and composition are engineered through refined photolithography and LbL assembly. Embedded Fe3O4 nanoparticles enable localized, non‐cytotoxic heating, while protein cargos can be incorporated in tunable quantities.

Magnetism and Nonlinear Charge Transport in NiFe2O4/γ‐Al2O3/SrTiO3 Heterostructure: Toward Spintronic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this report, we demonstrate that a crystalline phase of 52nm thick NiFe2O4 can be grown by RF sputtering on top of γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 at a significantly low temperature (150 °C) without compromising the mobility and carrier density of the 2D electron gas at the γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 interface.

Drug‐Free Thrombolysis Mediated by Physically Activated Micro/Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Overview of particle‐mediated thrombolytic effects (thermal, mechanical, and chemical) and their activating physical stimuli (light, ultrasound, and magnetic field) in drug‐free thrombolysis. ABSTRACT Thrombus‐associated disorders rank among the world's leading causes of death, with ischemic heart disease and stroke as the main contributors.

External Reflection From Two‐Photon Laser‐Printed Micromirrors Enables Photomechanical Actuation at a 90° Incident Angle

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Light reflectance increases along incidence angle and transmittance significantly drops around 90‐degree incidence angle. Here, we report two‐photon laser printed micro mirrors that redirect the skimming light beam into normal light absorption. Using this technique, light‐driven micro walkers and grippers are demonstrated by using grazing incidence ...
