Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing Reveals Disrupted Stromal–Epithelial Crosstalk Impairs Gut Barrier in Depression

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
scRNA‐seq atlas of the depressed mouse colon reveals that expansion of disease‐specific cCF1 and CTF stromal subsets disrupts epithelial homeostasis via enhanced TGF‐ß and suppressed WNT/ß‐catenin signaling, impairing stem cell function, differentiation, and intestinal barrier integrity.

RGS Family Remodeling in Breast Cancer: A Meta‐Analysis and Multi‐Omics Profiling of Prognostic Biomarkers

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2026.
Integrated multi‐omics analyses revealed significant dysregulation of RGS family genes in breast cancer and identified robust diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers. RGS expression was associated with genomic and epigenetic alterations, immune microenvironment features, and drug response patterns. ABSTRACT Background Breast cancer (BC) is a heterogeneous

Effects of ketogenic and low‐carbohydrate diet on glucose and weight control in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients along with metabolome change

open access: yesClinical and Translational Discovery, Volume 6, Issue 4, August 2026.
Both the low‐carbohydrate diet (LCD) and the ketogenic diet (KD) positively affect body weight and glucose metabolism in type 2 diabetes. Metabolomic signatures sensitively reflect each diet and correlate with clinical improvements – distinct metabolite associations with glycated haemoglobin and weight were identified for LCD versus KD.
