Laparoscopic Delivery of a MnO2‐P‐ICG Patch for Photodynamic Therapy and NK Cell‐Driven Immunotherapy in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

This study proposes a flexible MnO2‐P‐ICG nanofiber patch for laparoscopic treatment of liver tumors. The patch alleviates tumor hypoxia and induces photodynamic therapy (PDT) triggered immunogenic cell death, thereby activating the cGAS‐STING pathway and, in synergy with pachymaran, promoting NK cell–mediated innate immunity. Seedless One‐Pot Synthesis of Colloidal InAs Quantum Dots Enabling a High‐Accuracy Photoplethysmography Oximeter

A real‐time, non‐contact photoplethysmography (PPG) system based on InAs colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) synthesized via a seedless injection synthesis is demonstrated. The measured oxygen saturation shows considerable agreement with commercial PPG devices.

Synchronization‐Dissipation in the Cardiorespiratory System

By modeling central nervous coupling and viscoelastic interactions in the cardiorespiratory system we show that synchronization produces a 10% gain in cardiac efficiency in humans. It is surmised that respiratory sinus arrhythmia improves cardiac pumping efficiency by reducing dynamic stress and power dissipation in the pulmonary vasculature.
