Methodological Individualism as Holism of the Parts: From Epistemology to Ontology
It is argued that methodological individualism entails a holism of the parts, as originally proposed by Jan Smuts (1926/1927), where 1/ the properties of entities involved in explanation are inherent to their participation in the whole they constitute, and 2/ the whole does not act as a separate cause, distinct from its parts.

Thermal Plasticity is Regulated by a Key MicroRNA During Range Expansion of an Invasive Fruit Fly
Populations at the invasion front of Bactrocera dorsalis adapt through reduced phenotypic and gene expression plasticity, a phenomenon likely to be driven by genetic assimilation. We identify a key miRNA‐mediated regulatory axis, in which miR‐276b post‐transcriptionally represses thw, a conserved chitin‐binding gene critical to the cold‐tolerance ...

Promoting Treg Polarization‐Mediated Anti‐Scar and Appendage Regeneration in Wound Healing
This study develops a PLGA@LA‐BMP4‐PG bilayer scaffold to address scar formation and appendage loss in skin repair. The piezoelectric PLA layer enhances cell migration via electric fields, while GelMA delivers LA promoting Tregs polarization and BMP4 inhibiting FBs differentiation.
