Integrated Intrabody Communication Node Based on OOK Modulation

IFMBE Proceedings, 2021
The goal of this paper is to present the development of an integrated implementation of the transmitter and receiver pair which are designed with intrabody communication (IBC) purposes in mind and uses on-off-keying (OOK) modulation. The system is implemented using Programmable System-on-Chip (PSoC) microcontrollers produced by Cypress, using a minimal

A CMOS 210-GHz Fundamental Transceiver With OOK Modulation

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 2014
This paper presents a 210-GHz transceiver with OOK modulation in a 32-nm SOI CMOS process (fT/fmax= 250/320 GHz). The transmitter (TX) employs a 2 × 2 spatial combining array consisting of a double-stacked cross-coupled voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) at 210 GHz with an on-off-keying (OOK) modulator, a power amplifier (PA) driver, a novel balun ...

Interferometric Operation of an Electroabsorption Modulator for PSK Modulation and OOK Modulation with Performance Enhancements

2006 European Conference on Optical Communications, 2006
We present interferometric operation of an electroabsorption modulator. We demonstrate 40-Gb/s PSK modulation, and up to 8.7 dB improvement in extinction ratio in 40-Gb/s OOK modulation with 0.8V driving voltage using a single electroabsorption modulator.

Generalized Blind Detection of OOK Modulation for Free-Space Optical Communication

IEEE Communications Letters, 2017
For optimal detection of ON – OFF keying symbols in free-space optical (FSO) communication, the receiver requires the instantaneous channel fading coefficient. In this letter, to increase the bandwidth efficiency of the FSO channel, we propose a blind data detection method, i.e., without requiring transmission of any training symbols.

Free Space Optic communication using Optical AM, OOK-NRZ and OOK-RZ Modulation Techniques

2019 3rd International Conference on Electronics, Materials Engineering & Nano-Technology (IEMENTech), 2019
Free space optic (FSO) communication is recent work over optical fiber communication. In this paper, optical analog link communication using Amplitude modulation (AM) and optical digital link using On-Off Keying-Return to Zero (OOK-RZ) and On-Off Keying-Non Return to Zero (OOK-NRZ) modulation for FSO has been carried out using OptiSystem 16 software. High-order transverse-magnetic mode Mach-Zehnder modulator for OOK modulation

2018 Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP), 2018
We present a silicon Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM) for high-order TM modes. A single-drive push-pull electrode with L-shaped vertical PN-junctions is employed to provide a high modulation efficiency.

An inductive wireless telemetry circuit with OOK modulation for implantable cardiac pacemakers

2015 IEEE 11th International Conference on ASIC (ASICON), 2015
An inductive wireless telemetry circuit for implantable cardiac pacemakers is presented in this paper. An internal coil in the titanium case transmits the detected cardiac data into the coil of the outside programmer. The configuration data and the commands from the programmer are sent to the pacemaker through the same pair of coils to save volume of ...
