Proposal for a micromagnetic standard problem for materials with Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction
Understanding the role of the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction (DMI) for the formation of helimagnetic order, as well as the emergence of skyrmions in magnetic systems that lack inversion symmetry, has found increasing interest due to the significant ...

Idealized schematics showing example magnetic nanoflower colloidal structures, consistent with the small angle neutron scattering data. The chains increase the overall magnetic anisotropy which controls the MNFs’ effectiveness for magnetic particle imaging and magnetic nanofluid hyperthermia.

Origin of four-fold anisotropy in square lattices of circular ferromagnetic dots
We discuss the four-fold anisotropy of in-plane ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) field $H_r$, found in a square lattice of circular Permalloy dots when the interdot distance $a$ gets comparable to the dot diameter $d$. The minimum $H_r$, along the lattice $$

Time-resolved investigation of magnetization dynamics of arrays of non-ellipsoidal nanomagnets with a non-uniform ground state [PDF]
We have performed time-resolved scanning Kerr microscopy (TRSKM) measurements upon arrays of square ferromagnetic nano-elements of different size and for a range of bias fields. The experimental results were compared to micromagnetic simulations of model

Multi‐Level Switching of Spin‐Torque Ferromagnetic Resonance in 2D Magnetite
The synthesis of environmentally stable and high Curie temperature 2D Fe3O4 nanosheets are reported that exhibit multi‐level resistance under the stimulation of a microwave field at room temperature. Such behavior is ascribed to the emergence of bAPBs and sAPBs in the Fe3O4 structure and morphological evolution of spin texture.

Magnetization states and switching in narrow-gapped ferromagnetic nanorings
We study permalloy nanorings that are lithographically fabricated with narrow gaps that break the rotational symmetry of the ring while retaining the vortex ground state, using both micromagnetic simulations and magnetic force microscopy (MFM).

Epitaxial Growth of Large‐Scale 2D CrTe2 Films on Amorphous Silicon Wafers With Low Thermal Budget
A seeded growth technique is developed for crystallizing large‐scale 2D CrTe2 films on amorphous SiNx/Si substrates with a low thermal budget. Grain boundaries, intrinsic ferromagnetism, and magnetic–electrical behavior of 2D CrTe2 magnets are controlled through crystallinity engineering.

Micromagnetic study of iron nanoparticles: Influence of size and shape
We report computational micromagnetic simulations of iron nanoparticles with cubic and spherical geometries. The simulations were performed using the open source Ubermag package, which integrates the Object Oriented Micromagnetic Framework (OOMMF) as its

Spin-torque driven ferromagnetic resonance (ST-FMR) is used to study magnetic excitations in Co/Ni synthetic layers confined in nanojunctions. Field swept ST-FMR measurements were conducted with a magnetic field applied perpendicular to the layer surface.
