Phenomenological description of the nonlocal magnetization relaxation in magnonics, spintronics, and domain-wall dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A phenomenological equation called Landau-Lifshitz-Baryakhtar (LLBar) equation, which could be viewed as the combination of Landau-Lifshitz (LL) equation and an extra "exchange damping" term, was derived by Baryakhtar using Onsager's relations.

Tuneable Vertical Hysteresis Loop Shift in Exchange Coupled La0.67Sr0.33MnO3‐SrRuO3 Bilayer

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 3, Issue 5, May 2024.
A simple method of obtaining a tuneable vertical magnetic hysteresis loop shift is demonstrated in a magnetic bilayer system. The proposed generalized model of controllable vertical shift is also applicable for other material systems possessing glassy phases, uncompensated/canted spins, absent interfacial exchange coupling, etc.

Micromagnetic Analysis of Monolayer L10-FePt and Bilayer L10-FePt/Fe Ultrathin Films

open access: yesMagnetism
This work presents a micromagnetic investigation of monolayer L10 FePt and FePt/Fe bilayer thin films to clarify the role of thickness, composition, and exchange coupling in their magnetic behavior.

Anisotropic magnetoresistance and anisotropic tunneling magnetoresistance due to quantum interference in ferromagnetic metal break junctions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We measure the low-temperature resistance of permalloy break junctions as a function of contact size and the magnetic field angle, in applied fields large enough to saturate the magnetization.

Influence of physical and material parameters on switching current density in perpendicular STT-MTJ: a micromagnetic study

open access: yesJournal of Physics Communications
Switching in magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) is considered to be coherent according to the macrospin model but above a critical characteristic length (R _c ) this process becomes incoherent.

Switching of +/-360deg domain wall states in a nanoring by an azimuthal Oersted field

open access: yes, 2011
We demonstrate magnetic switching between two $360^\circ$ domain wall vortex states in cobalt nanorings, which are candidate magnetic states for robust and low power MRAM devices.

Proposal for a standard problem for micromagnetic simulations including spin-transfer torque [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The spin-transfer torque between itinerant electrons and the magnetization in a ferromagnet is of fundamental interest for the applied physics community. To investigate the spin-transfer torque, powerful simulation tools are mandatory.

Electric-dipole-induced spin resonance in a lateral double quantum dot incorporating two single domain nanomagnets

open access: yes, 2015
On-chip magnets can be used to implement relatively large local magnetic field gradients in na- noelectronic circuits. Such field gradients provide possibilities for all-electrical control of electron spin-qubits where important coupling constants depend

Off-centered immobile magnetic vortex under influence of spin-transfer torque

open access: yes, 2010
Equilibrium magnetization distribution of the vortex state magnetic nanoparticle is affected by the influence of the spin-transfer torque: an off-center out--of--plane vortex appears in the case of the disk shape particle and pure planar vortex in the ...
