An Experimental Study of an Open-end Disc–spinning Concept

Journal of the Textile Institute, 1992
The basic principle of a novel open-end-spinning technique, termed disc spinning, is described. In this technique, the four fundamental actions common to other open-end-spinning methods occur simultaneously but separately, in particular those of fibre collection and twist insertion. Results are given of ‘proof-of-concept’ experiments undertaken.

23—THE SIGNIFICANCE OF YARN TENSION IN OPEN-END SPINNING

Journal of the Textile Institute, 1976
The theortical relation between yarn-mass variation and the variation of yarn-spinning tension for open-end rotor-spinnig is derived, and it is shown experimentally that spinning-tension measurement represents a useful means of assessment of yarn irregularity.

43—HIGH-SPEED OPEN-END ROTOR-SPINNING

The Journal of The Textile Institute, 1975
High-speed open-end rotor-spinning is discussed in relation to the properties of yams spun in the speed range from 30,000 to 100,000 rev/min. The design of the rotor and its modified driving unit is described in detail. The properties of the yarns with respect to strength and strength variation, extension at break, and short-term yarn evenness are ...

Yarn Evenness in Open-End Spinning

Textile Research Journal, 1974
Open-end yarn is said to have a better evenness than ring yarn, but the truth of this statement depends on the error wavelength. It is shown that errors are reduced when the error wavelength in the yarn is less than the circumference of the collecting surface.

Theory of Semi-open-end Ring Spinning

Journal of Fashion Technology & Textile Engineering, 2017
In this paper we propose a novel spinning named semi-openend ring spinning. To discuss the theory, an infinitesimal cylinderchained fiber model is established, the differential Equations of the infinitesimal cylinder at different moment are established and revolved by Runge-Kutta integration.

Perforated-Groove, Self-Cleaning, Open-End Spinning Rotors

Textile Research Journal, 1979
This progress report describes a new type of self-cleaning, open-end spinning rotor. Rotors were modified by drilling holes of different numbers, sizes, and angles in the rotor groove. Accumulation of rotor dust was significantly less for the perforated than for the control rotors. The perforated rotors removed short fiber as well as dust and produced

TEACHING AND E-LEARNING ABOUT OPEN-END SPINNING MACHINE

eLearning and Software for Education, 2020
This article presents a modern, e-learning method designed for the study of the open-end spinning machine with rotor for processing cotton fibers, blends of cotton and chemical fibers or chemical fibers cotton types. It exposes a new teaching and learning approach of the laboratory for subject Processes and Machines in Cotton Spinning Mill comprised ...
