Power sharing algorithm for vector controlled six-phase AC motor with four customary three-phase voltage source inverter drive

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2015
This paper considered a six-phase (asymmetrical) induction motor, kept 30° phase displacement between two set of three-phase open-end stator windings configuration.

Open-end Winding Induction Motor Drive Using Decoupled Algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Electrical & Electronic Systems, 2016
In now a days modern multi level inverters have emerged to overcome the drawbacks due to the conventional inverters. In various industries inverters with different PWM techniques have been employed to achieve good performance in the context of variable speed drives.

A multilevel inverter system for an induction motor with open-end windings [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE 2002 28th Annual Conference of the Industrial Electronics Society. IECON 02, 2003
In this paper, a multilevel inverter system for an open-end winding induction motor drive is described. Multilevel inversion is achieved by feeding an open-end winding induction motor with two 2-level inverters in cascade (equivalent to a 3-level inverter) from one end and a single 2-level inverter, from the other end of the motor.

IGBT-SiC dual fed open end winding PMSM drive

open access: yes2017 IEEE International Electric Machines and Drives Conference (IEMDC), 2017
This paper proposes a dual fed common dc link inverter Open End Winding-Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (OEW-PMSM) Drive. In order to increase the system efficiency a dual technology converter is used, with one inverter composed of standard IGBT devices and the other composed of fast switching Silicon Carbide (SiC) devices.

Improved analytical model for predicting the magnetic field distribution in brushless permanent-magnet machines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A general analytical technique predicts the magnetic field distribution in brushless permanent magnet machines equipped with surface-mounted magnets. It accounts for the effects of both the magnets and the stator windings.

Study on different loading topologies of a six-phase self excited induction generator

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2018
High number of phases of a multi-phase machine equip it with greater operational versatility. Due to the presence of dual 3-phases, a six-phase self excited induction generator (6φ-SEIG) is considered very convenient for grid connected as well as off ...

Permanent-magnet brushless machines with unequal tooth widths and similar slot and pole numbers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This paper presents a comparative study of three-phase permanent-magnet brushless machines in which the slot and pole numbers are similar, with reference to conventional brushless dc machines in which the ratio of the slot number to pole number is ...

Common mode voltage elimination in dual-inverter-fed six-phase open-end winding PMSM drives with a single DC supply

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This paper proposes a space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technique to eliminate common mode voltage (CMV) and common mode current for dual-inverter six-phase open-end winding PMSM motor drive fed from a single DC supply.

Hagedorn inflation of D-branes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We examine the cosmological effects of the Hagedorn phase in models where the observable universe is pictured as a D-brane. It is shown that, even in the absence of a cosmological constant, winding modes cause a negative `pressure' that can drive brane ...
