Dual-Mode Microstrip Open-Loop Resonators and Filters
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2007A miniature dual-mode microstrip open-loop resonator is proposed. Distinct characteristics of this new type of dual-mode resonator are investigated using full-wave electromagnetic simulations. It is shown that the two operating modes, i.e., the even and odd modes, within a single dual-mode resonator of this type do not couple.

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2003AbstractCapacitively loaded coplanar waveguide (CPW) open‐loop resonators (OLRs) are proposed for maximum miniaturization in uniplanar microwave applications. Open loop multi-resonator based chipless RFID tag
2014 XXXIth URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium (URSI GASS), 2014A simple, compact, planar open loop multi-resonator for chipless RFID tag with high quality factor is presented. It is a spectral signature based chipless RFID transponder. It consists of a set of cascaded open loop resonators. The prototype fabricated on a substrate of dielectric constant 3.7 and thickness 1.6mm is having an overall dimension of 28×13.
