Open-loop experiments of resonator micro-optic gyro
Optoelectronics Letters, 2009An open-loop resonator micro-optic gyro (R-MOG) with a 6 cm-long waveguide-type ring resonator is set up using the phase modulation spectroscopy technique. In the experiment, according to the test parameters of the resonator, the shot-noise-limited sensitivity is estimated to be 1.07×10−4 rad/s. From the test demodulation signal, the gyro dynamic range

Microstrip low‐pass filter using open loop resonators
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2008AbstractA compact open loop resonator microstrip low pass filter is modeled. To optimize the performances of the filter, electromagnetic simulation is used to tune the dimensions of proposed prototype. Cascading of open loop resonator provides a very sharp cut off and wide stop band with minimum insertion loss.

A dual‐passband microstrip open‐loop resonator filter
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2005AbstractIn this paper, a design technique that includes a synthesis procedure and a realization method for a microstrip open‐loop resonator filter with two passbands is described. Transmission zeros of the filter‐transfer function are employed to split a single passband into two passbands, and the filter‐coupling structure used to realize two passbands

Chipless RFID tag based on open-loop resonator
2017 IEEE Asia Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC), 2017A novel RFID tag employing open-loop resonators is presented in this paper. The resonators have been synthesized using coupled microstrip transmission line. The complete design consists of open-loop resonators based tag, and cross polarized circular patch antenna for transmitting and receiving purpose.

Hexagonal micropillar cavities: multimode resonances and open-loop resonance linewidth broadening
SPIE Proceedings, 2003We report our proof-of-principle experiment and modeling of hexagonal micro-pillar cavities. A commercial hexagonal silica fiber (125μm plane-to-plane) was side-coupled perpendicularly with a Gaussian beam, thus the fiber acted as a μ-pillar cavity. We observed multimode resonances with typical Q ≈ 2,500 in the tangential directions that are ≈ 120° to ...

Cross-Coupled Bandpass Filter using Microstrip Triangular Open-Loop Resonators
2001 31st European Microwave Conference, 2001A new cross-coupled planar microwave filter is proposed using coupled microstrip triangular open-loop resonators. The full-wave EM simulator is used to design the triangular resonator and to calculate the coupling coefficients of three basic coupling structures encountered in this type of filter.

Compact Filter Configurations Using Concentric Microstrip Open-Loop Resonators
IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2012This paper presents two highly compact filter configurations using concentric open-loop resonators. A description of each filter configuration is presented, where a linkage between structural features and coupling coefficients is outlined. A third order trisection and a fourth order source-load coupled filter were designed and fabricated at 1.0 GHz ...

Compact wideband bandpass filter using two open loop resonators
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2013AbstractIn order to obtain a wideband passband filter, a compact filter with two open‐loop resonators has been designed and fabricated, which has introduced two transmission zeros at the passband's upper frequency area. The proposed topology is demonstrated with a design operating at 5.19 GHz with 19.7% bandwidth. More than 20 dB of spurious suppression

Design of Lowpass Filter Using Complementary Open-Loop Resonators
2008 China-Japan Joint Microwave Conference, 2008In this paper, a new methodology for the design of compact planar lowpass filters in microstrip technology is proposed. This is based on cascading filter stages consisting of the combination of complementary open-loop resonators (COLR), proposed by the authors for the first time, and open stubs.

Improvement of microstrip open loop resonator filter using aperture
2002 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.02CH37278), 2003Apertures has been employed on the ground plane in the open loop resonator filter. The bandwidth has been widen maximally 40% and the passband ripple has been flatten compared with the conventional open loop resonator filter. The coupling spacing between loops has been widened to easily implement filter.
