Phase Planning for Open Pit Coal Mines through Nested Pit Generation and Dynamic Programming
This paper presents a phase planning method specially designed for coal deposits with nearly horizontal, bedded coal seams. The geology of this type of deposit is modeled into a column model, instead of a block model, to avoid coal-rock mixing in blocks.

Management plan of geological hazard threats in the fault zone of adjacent open-pit mines
In the development of large-scale open-pit coal fields in China, there are often several Coal companies entering the same coal field, and each Coal company is a main body of development, mining coal resources in the state-allocated strip area, and ...

This study demonstrates the feasibility of an underground closed‐loop thermal storage facility at a post‐mining site, intended for seasonal heat energy storage. Its principal design shows water flow directions in winter and summer (1, 2), heat pumps (3), an upper water reservoir (4), and connecting pipes (5).

Regularity of particle velocity decrease with scaled distance for rockbursts and shot holes [PDF]
The paper is intended as an analysis of particle velocity generated during rockbursts in deep coal mines in the Ostrava-Karviná Coal Basin (OKCB), which are recorded at five underground seismic stations.

A bimetallic NiAg alloy is assembled on the surface of Zn3In2S6 to construct a NiAg‐Zn3In2S6 composite using a chemical reduction method. By adjusting the different alloy ratios, the hydrogen evolution activity of the optimum Ni0.25Ag0.75‐Zn3In2S6 photocatalyst achieves 21.32 mmol·g−1·h−1. ABSTRACT A bimetallic NiAg alloy is assembled on the surface of
