Revealing Long-Term Displacement and Evolution of Open-Pit Coal Mines Using SBAS-InSAR and DS-InSAR
Coal mines play an important role in the global energy supply. Monitoring the displacement of open-pit mines is crucial to preventing geological disasters, such as landslides and surface displacement, caused by high-intensity mining activities. In recent

This article investigates how persistent homology, persistent Laplacians, and persistent commutative algebra reveal complementary geometric, topological, and algebraic invariants or signatures of real‐world data. By analyzing shapes, synthetic complexes, fullerenes, and biomolecules, the article shows how these mathematical frameworks enhance ...

Harnessing Machine Learning to Understand and Design Disordered Solids
This review maps the dynamic evolution of machine learning in disordered solids, from structural representations to generative modeling. It explores how deep learning and model explainability transform property prediction into profound physical insight.

Open-pit mining geomorphic feature characterisation
Abstract Among the anthropogenic topographic signatures on Earth, open-pit mines are of great importance. Mining is of interest to geomorphologists and environmental researchers because of its implication in geomorphic hazards and processes. In addition, open-pit mines and quarries are considered the most dangerous industrial sector, with injuries ...

The mining rate in open pit mine planning [PDF]
In the mining business, mine planning is the activity that determines the exploitation of a mineral resource with the aim of maximising its intrinsic value. The number of variables that are required to carry out this activity and the complexity of dealing with a finite, non-renewable resource make it difficult to find an optimum solution.

ABSTRACT Four benzothiophenes, thianaphthene (BT‐1), 3‐bromothianaphthene (BT‐2), benzo[b]thiophene‐2‐carboxaldehyde (BT‐3), and benzo[b]thiophene‐2‐carbonitrile (BT‐4), were tested as mild steel corrosion inhibitors in 1‐M HCl. The compounds have the similar benzothiophene core but differ in the substituents bound to the ring.
