Once bitten, twice shy: A modeling framework for incorporating heterogeneous mosquito biting into transmission models [PDF]
The potential for outbreaks of mosquito-borne disease is linked to the frequency at which mosquitoes feed on blood, also known as the biting rate. But standard models of mosquito-borne disease transmission inherently assume that mosquitoes bite only once per reproductive cycle, an assumption commonly violated in nature. Drivers of multiple biting, like

Temperature‐Resilient Polymeric Memristors for Effective Deblurring in Static and Dynamic Imaging
A thermally stable organic memristor based on a thiadiazolobenzotriazole (TBZ) and 2,5‐Dioctyl‐3,6‐di(thiophen‐2‐yl)pyrrolo[3,4‐c]pyrrole‐1,4(2H,5H)‐dione (DPP)‐based conjugated polymer is presented, demonstrating reliable, gradual resistance switching across a wide temperature range (153–573 K).

Impairment of the oral stereognosis in the partial anterior open bite [PDF]
The study was performed in 20 children with partial anterior open bite and in 20 children of a control group. Stereognosis was evaluated on the basis of correct recognition responses to silicone pieces of the different shapes.

Non-orthodontic intervention and non-nutritive sucking behaviours: A literature review
Anterior open bite (AOB) is one of the most complex malocclusions to manage. AOB is caused by either by skeletal, genetic or environmental factors. Numerous treatment options are currently utilised to manage AOB.

On the Algebraic Structure of Linear Trellises [PDF]
Trellises are crucial graphical representations of codes. While conventional trellises are well understood, the general theory of (tail-biting) trellises is still under development. Iterative decoding concretely motivates such theory. In this paper we first develop a new algebraic framework for a systematic analysis of linear trellises which enables us

This review highlights recent advances in engineering artificial antigen‐presenting cells (aAPCs) as alternatives to dendritic cells for T cell expansion. Key design principles inspired by the immunological synapse are discussed, with emphasis on strategies for polyclonal and antigen‐specific T cell expansion.
