New variable stars in open clusters [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2004
We present high precision CCD photometry of 1791 objects in 20 open clusters with an age from 10 Myr to 1 Gyr. These observations were performed within the Delta a photometric system which is primarily used to detect chemically peculiar stars of the upper main sequence. Time bases range between 30 minutes and up to 60 days with data from several nights.

A Gaia study of the Hyades open cluster [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We present a study of the membership of the Hyades open cluster, derive kinematically-modelled parallaxes of its members, and study the colour-absolute magnitude diagram of the cluster.

WIYN Open Cluster Study. LXXV. Testing the Metallicity Dependence of Stellar Lithium Depletion Using Hyades-aged Clusters. I. Hyades and Praesepe [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
WIYN/Hydra spectroscopy (at R ∼ 15,000) of the moderately metal-rich Praesepe and Hyades open clusters was used to study their main-sequence (MS) iron ([Fe/H]) and lithium (A(Li)) abundances.

The Hyades open cluster is chemically inhomogeneous [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We present a high-precision differential abundance analysis of 16 solar-type stars in the Hyades open cluster based on high resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio (S/N ~ 350 - 400) spectra obtained from the McDonald 2.7m telescope.

Open Frobenius Cluster-Tilted Algebras

open access: yesAlgebra Colloquium, 2022
In this paper, we compute the Frobenius dimension of any cluster-tilted algebra of finite type. Moreover, we give conditions on the bound quiver of a cluster-tilted algebra [Formula: see text] such that [Formula: see text] has non-trivial open Frobenius structures.

The chemical compositions of solar twins in the open cluster M67 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Stars in open clusters are expected to share an identical abundance pattern. Establishing the level of chemical homogeneity in a given open cluster deserves further study as it is the basis of the concept of chemical tagging to unravel the history of ...

Open cluster kinematics with Gaia DR2

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2018
Context. Open clusters are very good tracers of the evolution of the Galactic disc. Thanks to Gaia, their kinematics can be investigated with an unprecedented precision and accuracy. Aims.

The GAPS programme with HARPS-N at TNG XI. Pr~0211 in M~44: the first multi-planet system in an open cluster [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Open cluster (OC) stars share the same age and metallicity, and, in general, their age and mass can be estimated with higher precision than for field stars.

EPIC 219388192b—An Inhabitant of the Brown Dwarf Desert in the Ruprecht 147 Open Cluster [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We report the discovery of EPIC 219388192b, a transiting brown dwarf in a 5.3 day orbit around a member star of Ruprecht 147, the oldest nearby open cluster association, which was photometrically monitored by K2 during its Campaign 7.

Photometric Variability of B-Type Stars in the Young Open Cluster NGC 663

open access: yesUniverse
We present a comprehensive study of variable stars in the young open cluster NGC 663, combining ground-based 50BiN photometry, space-based TESS time-series observations, and astrometric measurements from Gaia DR3.
