Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Bifurcation Study of Thin Plate with an All-Over Breathing Crack
An all-over breathing crack on the plate surface having arbitrary depth and location is assumed to be nonpropagating and parallel to one side of the plate.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Unique determination of a single crack in a uniform simply supported beam in bending vibration [PDF]
In this paper we consider one of the basic inverse problems in damage detection based on natural frequency data, namely the identification of a single open crack in a uniform simply supported beam from measurement of the first and the second natural ...

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Opening of an interface flaw in a layered elastic half-plane under compressive loading [PDF]
A static analysis is given of the problem of an elastic layer perfectly bonded, except for a frictionless interface crack, to a dissimilar elastic half-plane.

On cavitation in Elastodynamics [PDF]
Motivated by the works of Ball (1982) and Pericak-Spector and Spector (1988), we investigate singular solutions of the compressible nonlinear elastodynamics equations.

The 1/r singularity in weakly nonlinear fracture mechanics
Material failure by crack propagation essentially involves a concentration of large displacement-gradients near a crack's tip, even at scales where no irreversible deformation and energy dissipation occurs. This physical situation provides the motivation

A numerical study on impact and compression after impact behaviour of variable angle tow laminates [PDF]
Recent developments of variable angled tow (VAT) technology have indicated that variable stiffness composite laminates offer a strong potential for structural tailoring.

A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.
