The combination of ribose and adenine promotes adenosine release and attenuates the intensity and frequency of epileptiform activity in hippocampal slices : evidence for the rapid depletion of cellular ATP during electrographic seizures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In addition to being the universal cellular energy source, ATP is the primary reservoir for the neuromodulator adenosine. Consequently, adenosine is produced during ATP‐depleting conditions, such as epileptic seizures, during which adenosine acts as an ...

Phosphatidic Acid‐TRIM59‐Olig2 Signaling Couples Metabolic Dysfunction to Myelination Failure in PWMI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 25, 4 May 2026.
PA accumulates after hypoxic‐ischemic injury and stabilizes the E3 ligase TRIM59 in OPCs. Stabilized TRIM59 enhances ubiquitination and degradation of Olig2, blocking differentiation and causing hypomyelination in PWMI. Modulating PA synthesis restores Olig2 levels, improves myelination, and ameliorates behavioral deficits, defining a metabolically ...

Do open government data (OGD) portals show signs of knowledge management (KM) practices?: an empirical investigation

open access: yesTechnology Analysis & Strategic Management, 2023
Open Government Data (OGD) is a build-up of the data accumulated in the government organizations pertaining to the structural and functional dimensions and it is imperative for OGD to be high-value for facilitating value creation and innovation. The present study purports to provide a launchpad to the aforementioned truism by advancing the concept of ...

Pantothenic Acid Protects Neurons After Ischemic Stroke by Targeting ID3 to Restore Action Potential Amplitude

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience Research, Volume 104, Issue 5, May 2026.
Ischemic stroke reduces ID3 expression and impairs neuronal action potential amplitude and frequency. Pantothenic acid (PA) targets and upregulates ID3, restoring amplitude but not frequency. The PA‐ID3‐amplitude axis represents a potential neuroprotective strategy.

Electroacupuncture Modulates Multiple Pathways for Neuroprotection and Neurorepair in Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 4, April 2026.
EA exerts therapeutic effects in ischemic stroke through multiple mechanisms: it alleviates acute injury by suppressing neuroinflammation, excitotoxicity, oxidative stress, apoptosis, pyroptosis, ferroptosis, autophagy dysregulation, and blood–brain barrier disruption, while enhancing cerebral blood flow, angiogenesis, and neurogenesis to support ...
