Conservation Subdivision: Design Phase – Location of Conserved Open Spaces

open access: yesEDIS, 2010
WEC276, a 5-page illustrated fact sheet by Mark Hostetler, focuses on decisions made in the design phase — what percentage of the site will be conserved as open space and where to locate it so as to maximize biodiversity values.

Subdiffusive Phases in Open Clean Long-Range Systems [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2021
We show that a one-dimensional ordered fermionic lattice system with power-law-decaying hopping, when connected to two baths at its two ends with different chemical potentials at zero temperature, features two phases showing sub-diffusive scaling of conductance with system size.

Low-Order Space Harmonic Modeling of Asymmetrical Six-Phase Induction Machines

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Multiphase machines are commonly analyzed using vector space decomposition modeling technique, where the original phase variables are decomposed into multiple orthogonal subspaces.

Postfault Control of Scalar (V/f) Controlled Asymmetrical Six-Phase Induction Machines

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
With the accelerated development in semiconductor power devices along with the dictated rigorous reliability standards in some industrial sectors, the application of a medium-voltage high-power multiphase induction machine with multiple three-phase ...

Fault-Tolerant Control Strategy with Asymmetric Phase Currents for Single to Four-Phase Open-Circuit Faults of Six-Phase PMSM

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
Multi-phase motors and generators are regarded with great fault tolerance capability, especially on open-circuit faults. Various mathematics analytical methods are applied for their fault control.

Geometric phase for an adiabatically evolving open quantum system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We derive an elegant solution for a two-level system evolving adiabatically under the influence of a driving field with a time-dependent phase, which includes open system effects such as dephasing and spontaneous emission.

Post‐fault operation strategy for single open‐phase fault in three‐phase induction motor drives

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2022
Single open‐phase fault (SOPF) in three‐phase induction motor (TPIM) drives leads to undesired performances and in some cases shutdown of the drive system.

Performance of a vector controlled PMSM drive based on proportional–resonance control under single-phase open circuit fault

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
In this paper, a vector controlled PMSM drive based on a proportional–resonance controller (PR) under open circuit fault (OCF) is proposed. The PR controller is used to generate the stator voltages.

Temporary mirror symmetry breaking and chiral excursions in open and closed systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The reversible Frank model is capable of amplifying the initial small statistical deviations from the idealized racemic composition. This temporary amplification can be interpreted as a chiral excursion in a dynamic phase space.
