The result of endoscope-assisted open reduction and internal fixation (EAORIF) of lateral overridden subcondyle fracture [PDF]
Introduction: Endoscope-assisted open reduction and internal fixation (EAORIF) reduces the amount of facial scaring, but limitations, such as the possibility to convert to the open technique and the large learning curve, remain.

Clinical efficacy of STMIPO in the management of distal one-third fibular fractures
BackgroundSecond to minimally invasive plates osteosynthesis (STMIPO) is a novel surgical technique that combines the small incision, minimally invasive, and aesthetic advantages of minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) with the direct ...

Open reduction and internal fixation in treatment of pilon tibial fractures
Pilon fractures are the most serious fractures among the ankle fractures and generally occur after high energy trauma. The main goalfor the treatment of these fractures is to obtain a good functioned ankle joint as in all intraarticular fractures by ...

Radial head fractures treated by open reduction and internal fixation with an extensor digitorum communis split approach [PDF]
BackgroundThe treatment of displaced fractures of the radial head is controversial, with conflicting evidence to support either resection or open reduction and internal fixation.

The Shewanella oneidensis Fic enzyme SoFic targets the switch‐I region of EF‐Tu for AMPylation
Fic enzymes mediate diverse post‐translational modifications across all domains of life, including AMPylation. Prokaryotic EF‐Tu can be AMPylated and deAMPylated by the conserved Fic enzyme SoFic. Structural and biochemical approaches were used to characterize the effect of AMPylation on EF‐Tu, SoFic's enzymatic activities, and the enzyme‐target ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
