5G-air-simulator: An open-source tool modeling the 5G air interface
Computer Networks, 2020Abstract 5G-air-simulator is an open-source and event-driven tool modeling the key elements of the 5G air interface from a system-level perspective. It implements several network architectures with multiple cells and users, different mobility and application models, a calibrated link-to-system model for physical and data-link layers, and a wide range

Fluid flow simulation at open–porous medium interface using the lattice Boltzmann method
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, 2007AbstractThe present study investigates, using the lattice Boltzmann method, the influence on the flow of the boundary condition at the open and porous medium interface for a two‐dimensional channel with half of the channel filled with a random porous medium.

AbstractMicrobubble enhanced high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is of great interest to tissue ablation for solid tumor treatments such as in liver and brain cancers, in which contrast agents/microbubbles are injected into the targeted region to promote heating and reduce prefocal tissue damage.

A simulation package for room acoustics with an open interface
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1999The solution of complex acoustic problems of the low-frequency sound field presupposes the numeric implementation of the wave equation. Especially for the calculation of sound fields in a finite volume (interior problem), the method of the finite elements (FEM) can be applied.

Simulation of Thermomechanical Closure of an Initially Open Interface Crack with Heat Resistance
Materials Science, 2003We study the phenomenon of partial closure of an interface crack with heat resistance in a bimaterial with different thermal characteristics of the components subjected to the action of a tensile load and a heat flux perpendicular to the crack. The indicated phenomenon is observed if the heat flux is directed toward the material with lower thermal ...

Introducing a Novel Haptic Interface for the Planning and Simulation of Open Surgery
2004Existing simulation software, originally developed for the simulation and planning of inguinal hernia repair, was fused with two haptic feedback devices: the SensAble Technologies Phantom Desktop®, and the ACROE/ICA Telluris system. The former allows easy integration on a PC-based platform, though in the long run, the Telluris system is ...

In this paper, we follow the pore-level flow simulation approach to investigate fluid flow over an open-porous interface using the lattice Boltzmann method. As this approach does not require any specific treatment for the interface, its results can be used to evaluate the current macroscopic boundary conditions for the interface.
