Geometric Phase in Open Systems [PDF]
We calculate the geometric phase associated to the evolution of a system subjected to decoherence through a quantum-jump approach. The method is general and can be applied to many different physical systems. As examples, two main source of decoherence are considered: dephasing and spontaneous decay.

ABSTRACT Background Pediatric sarcomas are a heterogeneous group of tumors that contribute disproportionately to cancer mortality in children. Although congenital anomalies are among the strongest known risk factors for childhood cancer, the risk of specific sarcoma subtypes among affected individuals has not yet been thoroughly evaluated. Procedure We

Supporting Survivor‐Centered Care Through Digital Health Integration
ABSTRACT Survivors of childhood cancer face barriers to receiving guideline‐based, long‐term follow‐up care. Two digital tools, Passport for Care (PFC) and Cancer SurvivorLink (SurvivorLink), address complementary gaps by enabling tailored survivorship care plan (SCP) generation, updating, storage, and sharing.

Current in Open Quantum Systems [PDF]
We show that a dissipative current component is present in the dynamics generated by a Liouville-master equation, in addition to the usual component associated with Hamiltonian evolution. The dissipative component originates from coarse graining in time, implicit in a master equation, and needs to be included to preserve current continuity.

ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

Realization of controllable open system with NMR
An open quantum system is now attracting much attention because a quantum device such as quantum computers and quantum sensors is an emerging technology. Here, we present a model of the open system that shows either time-homogeneous Markovian relaxations

Open fermionic quantum systems [PDF]
A method to treat a quantum system in interaction with a fermionic reservoir is presented. Its most important feature is that the dynamics of the exchange of particles between the system and the reservoir is explicitly included via an effective interaction term in the Hamiltonian. This feature gives rise to fluctuations in the total number of particles

ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Alternative demonstration of the entropy evolution in least time
Open systems evolve towards states of greater entropy, so they come into balance with their surroundings. Also, this evolution occurs in least time. This work presents a mathematical demonstration of this principle.
