Can Ti‐Based MXenes Serve as Solid Lubricants for Brake Applications? A Tribological Study

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the first implementation of Ti‐based MXenes materials in brake pad friction composite material. The resulting composite material exhibits a 48% reduction in the wear rate; alongside significant improvements are observed for thermal and mechanical properties.

On starlikeness and close-to-convexity of certain analytic functions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2004
Our purpose is to derive some sufficient conditions for starlikeness and close-to-convexity of order α of certain analytic functions in the open unit disk.

A Seidel-Walsh theorem with linear differential operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Assume that {Sn}∞1 is a sequence of automorphisms of the open unit disk D and that {Tn}∞1 is a sequence of linear differential operators with constant coefficients, both of them satisfying suitable conditions.

Radii of Starlikeness Associated with the Lemniscate of Bernoulli and the Left-Half Plane

open access: yes, 2011
A normalized analytic function f defined on the open unit disk in the complex plane is in the class SL if zf'(z)/f(z) lies in the region bounded by the right-half of the lemniscate of Bernoulli given by |w^2 - 1| < 1. In the present investigation, the SL-

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

The Univalence Conditions of Some Integral Operators

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
We introduce new integral operators of analytic functions f and g defined in the open unit disk U. For these operators, we discuss some univalence conditions.

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Some characteristic properties of analytic functions

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2016
In this paper, we consider a class L(λ, μ; ϕ) of analytic functions f defined in the open unit disk U satisfying the subordination condition ...

True Contraction Decomposition and Almost ETH-Tight Bipartization for Unit-Disk Graphs

open access: yesInternational Symposium on Computational Geometry
We prove a structural theorem for unit-disk graphs, which (roughly) states that given a set \(\mathcal{D}\) of \(n\) unit disks inducing a unit-disk graph \(G_{\mathcal{D}}\) and a number \(p\in[n]\) , one can partition \(\mathcal{D}\) into \(p\) subsets

Section Extension from Hyperbolic Geometry of Punctured Disk and Holomorphic Family of Flat Bundles

open access: yes, 2011
The construction of sections of bundles with prescribed jet values plays a fundamental role in problems of algebraic and complex geometry. When the jet values are prescribed on a positive dimensional subvariety, it is handled by theorems of Ohsawa ...
