Four Quadrants Numerical Prediction for Hydrodynamic Performance of Open-Water Propeller

Advanced Materials Research, 2010
In order to obtain the four quadrants hydrodynamic performance of open water propeller by means of CFD, a mathematic model of three dimensional coordinates points was established and programmed using Matlab based on the basic parameters of propeller. A smooth model propeller was made by importing these points into front end software.

Comparison between fixed-opening and variable-opening throttling on two-circuit evaporator performance under water maldistribution

Applied Thermal Engineering, 2019
Abstract Water maldistribution in the two-circuit evaporator was found to induce instabilities, and further deteriorate capacity of the refrigeration system. As a follow-up study, this article presents a comparison between throttling types on the two-circuit evaporator performance under water maldistribution.

Evaluating the Performance of Open-Hole, Perforated and Fractured Water Injection Wells

Proceedings of SPE European Formation Damage Conference, 1995
Abstract The performance, i.e. the half-life of water injectors, is very important to the economics of water injection projects. A simulator is presented to predict the decline in injectivity of water injection wells. Equations are presented that allow us to model open-hole and perforated completions as well as fractured wells.

Open water performance of two different ducted propellers in oblique flow

Ducted marine propellers provide increased efficiency, enhanced maneuverability, improved thrust, and reduced cavitation and noise in certain operating conditions. Ducted propellers may also offer advantages over propellers without a duct in waves. The duct surrounding the propeller can help minimize the effects of wave impact and reduce the blade ...

Design, Cavitation Performance, and Open-Water Performance of a Series of Research Skewed Propellers

1971
Abstract : Cavitation tunnel and open-water results are presented for a series of skewed propellers that were designed by lifting-surface methods. The four model propellers had maximum projected skew at the blade tip equal to 0, 36, 72, and 108 deg.

Numerical Analysis of LBV150 ROV Thruster Performance Under Open Water Test Condition

2017
Remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) research has increased remarkably because of the technological improvements in ROV’s. The LBV150 ROV is a highly-maneuverable miniROV of the SeaBotix Incorporation serving a range of military, commercial, and scientific, which uses HPDC 1507 thrusters for the propulsion system.
