Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Modern Architecture for Contemporary Communities: Learning and Inclusion in the Open Work
According to the definition of ‘Open Work’ it is possible to reinterpret the experiences of Modern Movement in architecture through some eminent experimental model-schools that were able to define spaces for learning as places for communities, at the ...

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Deposition of Fine and Coarse Sand in an Open-Work Gravel Bed
The siltation of an experimental gravel bed, with three grades of sands moving in suspension and as bedload, was examined in a flume. For low suspended sediment concentrations (<300 mg∙L−1) the mean deposition rate was 1.34% of the initial gravel ...

The pillow hook : the pillow book as an "open work"
This paper is an attempt to unfold the many-layered text of Sei Shōnagon's Makura-no sōshi and to promote further the pleasure of its reading. On the one hand, the paper is based on Sei Shōnagon's major issue, that of wokashi, interpreted, following its

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.
