Implementation of GSM Cellular Network Using USRP B200 SDR and OpenBTS
Algorithms for Intelligent Systems, 2020This paper describes the design and implementation process of a 2.5G GSM network. The GSM network supports messaging, voice calls and data through GPRS. We have also explored the spectrum analyzer, FM radio receiver and transmitter using USRP B200 software-defined radio (SDR).

OpenBTS and OpenAirInterface (OAI) are alternatives to building cellular networks on a portable basis using a computer. They can be useful for providing telecommunication access in emergency situations. GPRS and LTE cellular networks can be formed using OpenBTS and OAI with the help of software defined radio (SDR), such as USRP B210.

Mobile phone auto registration to OpenBTS-based cellular network in disaster situation
2014 8th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems Services and Applications (TSSA), 2014When disasters occurs, cellular network might be down and cannot serve subscribers anymore. On the other hand, many victims trapped in a wreckage might still have access to their mobile phone. An OpenBTS-based cellular network has been long before known as an ideal solution to rapidly deploy emergency GSM cellular network in situation after disaster ...

Reconfigurable cellular GSM network using USRP B200 and OpenBTS for disaster-hit regions
2017 IEEE 13th Malaysia International Conference on Communications (MICC), 2017In this paper, we have presented a cost effective technique for quick reinstatement of wireless connectivity in disaster hit areas, which face complete breakdown of prevailing infrastructure. A test reconfigurable GSM Base Transceiver System (BTS) based on Software Defined Radio (SDR) is build using Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) B200 board

Cost effective restoration of wireless connectivity in disaster hit areas using OpenBTS
2014 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2014In this paper, we have proposed a cost effective method for rapid restoration of wireless connectivity in disaster hit areas, which face large scale failure of wireless infrastructure. This method includes setting of a reconfigurable Base Transceiver Station (BTS) based on Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology.
