A Survey of Load Balancing Approaches Based on Switch Migration in Software‐Defined Networks
In this article, after discussing the load balancing of multiple controllers as one of the research challenges in this field, its solution through the switch migration is investigated. A variety of load balancing methods based on switch migration are investigated and then a comprehensive comparison is made between them.

A Novel Software-Defined Networking Controller: the Distributed Active Information Model (DAIM) [PDF]
This paper presents a new OpenFlow controller: the Distributed Active Information Model (DAIM). The DAIM controller was developed to explore the viability of a logically distributed control plane.

Software‐defined networking (SDN) has emerged as a groundbreaking architecture that separates the control plane from the data plane, relocating it to a more computationally capable central controller. Here, we present a systematic guide to implementing such schemes in Java‐based and open‐source open network operating system (ONOS) SDN controllers.

Fault-Tolerance Distributed Control Plane for Software Defined Networks
The architecture of the high availability distributed control plane for SDN/OpenFlow networks are considered. High availability is achieved by redundancy of controller instances, active switch-controller communications, computing resources and tools for ...

Abnormal Traffic Detection Method Based on DCNN‐GRU Architecture in SDN
In response to the centralized single‐architecture abnormal traffic detection method in Software Defined Network (SDN), which consumes massive computational and network resources, and may lead to the decline of service quality of SDN network, this paper proposes a large‐scale abnormal traffic detection method of SDN network based on Distributed ...
