GPU Acceleration of CFD Simulations in OpenFOAM
We introduce algorithmic advancements designed to expedite simulations in OpenFOAM using GPUs. These developments include the following. (a) The amgx4Foam library, which connects the open-source AmgX library from NVIDIA to OpenFOAM. Matrix generation, involving tasks such numerical integration and assembly, is performed on CPUs.

A Discrete Adjoint Model for OpenFOAM
AbstractWe present a discrete adjoint version of the open-source fluid-dynamics package OpenFOAM obtained by operator overloading which yields, in comparison to continuous adjoint versions, a greater flexibility and robustness. We discuss our implementation and how the discrete adjoint version of OpenFOAM differs from existing continuous ...

Harmonic Balance developments in OpenFOAM
Computers & Fluids, 2018The Harmonic Balance method for simulating unsteady nonlinear periodic flows is presented in this pa- per. Its recent, yet rapid development was motivated by the possibility of significant CPU time consump- tion savings compared to conventional transient methods, while providing sufficient accuracy.

Application of PETSc in the Linear Solver of OpenFOAM
2015 IEEE 12th Intl Conf on Ubiquitous Intelligence and Computing and 2015 IEEE 12th Intl Conf on Autonomic and Trusted Computing and 2015 IEEE 15th Intl Conf on Scalable Computing and Communications and Its Associated Workshops (UIC-ATC-ScalCom), 2015Open FOAM is an open-source CFD software based on finite volume method. Due to the well-designed framework, it is widely used in various fields. However, the linear system of Open FOAM is tightly coupled with the discretization grid, which brings great difficulties in extending this platform. After analyzing the discrete and linear systems of Open FOAM,
