A dichotomy for groupoid C*-algebras [PDF]
We study the finite versus infinite nature of C*-algebras arising from etale groupoids. For an ample groupoid G, we relate infiniteness of the reduced C*-algebra of G to notions of paradoxicality of a K-theoretic flavor.

Automorphisms of the bipartite graph planar algebra
For any abstract subfactor planar algebra $P$, there exists a finite index extremal subfactor $M_0 \subset M_1$ with $P$ as its standard invariant.

Some notes on Morita equivalence of Operator Algebras [PDF]
In this paper we present some key moments in the history of Morita equivalence for operator algebras.

Type-Decomposition of a Synaptic Algebra [PDF]
A synaptic algebra is a generalization of the self-adjoint part of a von Neumann algebra. In this article we extend to synaptic algebras the type-I/II/III decomposition of von Neumann algebras, AW*-algebras, and JW-algebras.

Braided Subfactors, Spectral Measures, Planar algebras and Calabi-Yau algebras associated to SU(3) modular invariants [PDF]
Braided subfactors of von Neumann algebras provide a framework for studying two dimensional conformal field theories and their modular invariants.

Canonical tensor product subfactors
Canonical tensor product subfactors (CTPS's) describe, among other things, the embedding of chiral observables in two-dimensional conformal quantum field theories.

Graph theoretic invariants for operator algebras associated to topological dynamics [PDF]
We expand on some invariants used for classifying nonselfadjoint operator algebras. Specifically to nonselfadjoint operator algebras which have a conditional expectation onto a commutative diagonal we construct an edge-colored directed graph which can be used as an operator algebra invariant.

Factoriality of Bozejko-Speicher von Neumann algebras
We study the von Neumann algebra generated by q--deformed Gaussian elements l_i+l_i^* where operators l_i fulfill the q--deformed canonical commutation relations l_i l_j^*-q l_j^* l_i=delta_{ij} for ...

Arens algebras of measurable operators for Maharam traces [PDF]
We study order and topological properties of the non-commutative Arens algebra associated with arbitrary Maharam trace.

Isometric Dilations of Representations of Product Systems via Commutants
We construct a weak dilation of a not necessarily unital CP-semigroup to an E-semigroup acting on the adjointable operators of a Hilbert module with a unit vector.
