Once More on Positive Commutators

open access: yes, 2012
Let A and B be bounded operators on a Banach lattice E such that the commutator C=AB-BA and the product BA are positive operators. If the product AB is a power-compact operator, then C is a quasi-nilpotent operator having a triangularizing chain of ...

Composition Operators Belonging to Operator Ideals

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1999
Let \(D\) be the unit disc \(\{z\in\mathbb{C}:|z|< 1\}\) of the complex plane \(\mathbb{C}\), and let \(\mu\) be the normalized Lebesgue measure on \(D\).

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

On a new generalized closure operator in the frame of ideals [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mahani Mathematical Research
This paper aims to propose and examine two new operators based on the fundamental structure “ideal” and the notion of “generalized” producing a new generalized ideal topological space.

Topology via Graph Ideals

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 2023
The study of ideal topological space has started since 1933 and till date it is being developed by several mathematicians. Various classes of open sets, different types of operators and exploration of elementary topological results in ideal topological ...

Functional analytic background for a theory of infinite-dimensional reductive Lie groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Motivated by the interesting and yet scattered developments in representation theory of Banach-Lie groups, we discuss several functional analytic issues which should underlie the notion of infinite-dimensional reductive Lie group: norm ideals, triangular

The Littlewood-Orlicz Operator Ideal

open access: yesRocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics, 2009
A continuous linear operator \(u:X\to Y\) between Banach spaces \(X\) and \(Y\) is called a Littlewood-Orlicz operator if \(\text{id}\otimes u\) maps (continuously) the injective tensor product of \(\ell_1\) with \(X\) into the projective tensor of \(\ell_2\) with \(Y\). The naming of this class of operators is motivated by two classical results due to

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

The ασ-Approximation Property and Its Related Operator Ideals

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we study the σ-tensor norm (ασ), the absolutely τ-summing operator and the σ-nuclear operator. We characterize the ασ-approximation property in terms of some density of the space of absolutely τ-summing operators.
