The intersection of health inequalities and COVID‐19: Evidence from National Health Insurance Big Data in South Korea

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Health inequalities persist along lines of income and wealth, shaped by unequal access to healthcare, differences in health behaviors, and pre‐existing chronic conditions. The COVID‐19 pandemic further put families in Korea under health strain and worsened their health outcomes.

The $ {L^\infty } $ estimate of the spatial gradient of the solution to a variational inequality problem originates from the financial contract problem with advanced implementation clauses

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
The present study investigates a class of variational inequality problems under the framework of the parabolic Kirchhoff operator from the financial contract problem. This particular issue stems from the financial contract problem.

Operator extensions of Hua’s inequality

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2009
We give an extension of Hua's inequality in pre-Hilbert $C^*$-modules without using convexity or the classical Hua's inequality. As a consequence, some known and new generalizations of this inequality are deduced. Providing a Jensen inequality in the content of Hilbert $C^*$-modules, another extension of Hua's inequality is obtained. We also present an

Homelessness Service Usage Patterns of 30,000 Homeless and At‐Risk Households: The Melbourne Access Point Study

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Over the last three decades, overseas researchers have utilised administrative data to identify distinct patterns in shelter use. In Australia, the use of administrative data to understand service utilisation patterns among people ‘at risk’ of homelessness and experiencing homelessness is limited.

Construction Theorem and Application of a Semi-Discrete Hilbert-Type Inequality Involving Partial Sums and Variable Upper Limit Integral Functions

open access: yesAxioms
By using the construction theorem of semi-discrete Hilbert-type inequalities with quasi-homogeneous kernels and real analysis techniques, this paper establishes a semi-discrete Hilbert-type inequality involving partial sums and variable upper limit ...

Operator Jensen's Inequality for Operator Superquadratic Functions

open access: yes, 2019
In this work, an operator superquadratic function (in operator sense) for positive Hilbert space operators is defined. Several examples with some important properties together with some observations which are related to the operator convexity are pointed out.

Trauma‐Informed Practice in Welfare‐to‐Work and Employment Services: A Scoping Review

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT There is increasing recognition within welfare services, including employment services, that many participants may have histories of trauma. Research suggests that experiences of trauma not only impact individuals' psychosocial health but also vocational elements such as job performance, employability, career progression, and financial ...
