Summary We have recently identified an ethylene response factor, StPti5, as a susceptibility factor that negatively regulates immune responses to diverse pathogens. Here, we investigated the role of StPti5 in the processes involved in the colonization of potato with beneficial organisms.

Employing Nanotechnology to Enhance Ethanol Production in Two Synechococcus elongatus Strains
Here, we report on how bacterial microcompartment technology can be used to improve bioproduction in cyanobacteria. Fusion of encapsulation peptides to the two enzymes of the ethanol biosynthetic pathway increased ethanol titres up to 84 times. 1.31 g L−1 of ethanol was produced in 6 days.
