Fishermen caught a different eel species at night with hook on July 7, 2019 (36°48'59.21"N: 30°38'23.44"E). This fish has not been seen before in the Gulf of Antalya. This fish was identified as Pisodonophis semicinctus (Richardson, 1848).

First record of an Apterichtus kendalli (Gilbert, 1891) (Anguilliformes, Ophichthidae) leptocephalus in the Southeast Brazilian Bight: a southward occurrence record extension [PDF]
The first record of Apterichtus kendalli in the Southeast Brazilian Bight is reported based on one leptocephalus collected at around the 100 m isobath during an oceanographic cruise in 1979.

The ordinary eel, Ethadophis byrnei Rosenblatt et McCosker, 1970, is newly recorded from the Mexican south Pacific coast, based on a single specimen captured inside a tropical coastal lagoon in the Gulf of Tehuantepec.
