Steroidal saponins from the tuber of Ophiopogon japonicus
Steroids, 2012Eight novel steroidal saponins, ophiopogonins H-O (1-8), along with seven known steroidal saponins (9-15) were isolated from the tubers of Ophiopogon japonicus. The structures of these new compounds were determined by detailed spectroscopic analysis, including extensive 1D and 2D NMR data, and the analysis of hydrolytic reaction products. For the first

Two novel furostanol saponins from Ophiopogon japonicus
Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2009Two novel furostanol saponins were isolated from the fresh tubers of Ophiopogon japonicus. Comprehensive spectroscopic analysis allowed the chemical structures of the compounds to be assigned as (25R)-26-[(O-beta-d-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)-beta-d-glucopyranosyl)]-22alpha-hydroxyfurost-5-ene-3-O-beta-d-xylopyranosyl-(1 --> 4)-O-[alpha-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(

Two new steroidal glycosides from Ophiopogon japonicus
Chinese Chemical Letters, 2008Abstract Two new C 27 -steroidal glycosides were isolated from the fibrous roots of Ophiopogon japonicus . The spectral analysis and chemical evidence revealed their chemical structures to be (25 R )-spirost-5,14-dien-3β-yl-O-α- l -rhamnopyranosyl-(1 → 2)-β- d -xylopyranosyl-(1 → 4)-β- d -glucopyranoside ( 1 ) and ophiogenin 3-O-β- d ...

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2016
The antioxidative and immunoregulatory activities of ophiopogon polysaccharide liposome (OPL) were investigated. The results demonstrated that the radical-scavenging activity increased along with the increasing of OPL concentrations, and the scavenging capability of OPL was slightly stronger than ophiopogon polysaccharide (OP) in vitro. In vivo, OPL at

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2016
This study evaluated the immunomodulatory effects of ophiopogon polysaccharide liposome (OPL) on macrophages in vitro. The phagocytic activity, the secretion of nitric oxide (NO) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), the level of cytokines, chemokines and the expression of CD14 and MHC-II costimulatory molecules were measured. Results showed that

A new C27-steroidal glycoside from Ophiopogon japonicus
Chinese Chemical Letters, 2008Abstract A new C27-steroidal glycoside with three known compounds were isolated from the tuber of Ophiopogon japonicus (Thunb.) Ker-Gawl. Based on the spectral analysis, including HRMS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, DEPT, 1H–1H COSY, HMQC and HMBC, their chemical structures were determined as pennogenin-3-O-α- l -rhamnopyranosyl-(1 → 2)-β- d -xylopyranosyl-(1 → 4)

Anti-inflammatory homoisoflavonoids from the tuberous roots of Ophiopogon japonicus
Fitoterapia, 2012Two new homoisoflavonoids, named ophiopogonone E (1) and ophiopogonanone H (2), together with thirteen known ones (3-15) were isolated from the tuberous roots of Ophiopogon japonicus. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical analyses. Compounds 7 and 15 were isolated from the genus for the first time.

Two novel furostanol saponins from the tubers ofOphiopogon japonicus
Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2013Phytochemical investigation of the fresh tubers of Ophiopogon japonicus led to the isolation of two new furostanol saponins (1 and 2) together with two known steroidal saponins (3 and 4). Comprehensive spectroscopic analysis allowed the chemical structures of two new compounds to be elucidated as (25R)-26-O-[β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1 → 2)-β-d ...

Steroidal saponins from the fresh tubers of Ophiopogon japonicus
Phytochemistry Letters, 2016Abstract Eleven novel furostanol saponins, named ophiofurospisides C–E, G–N (1–3, 5–12), one new spirostanol saponin, named ophiopogonin R (13), were isolated from the fresh tubers of Ophiopogon japonicus. Their structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopic techniques (1D and 2D NMR) and HRESIMS.

Determination of Homoisoflavonoids in Ophiopogon japonicus by RP-HPLC
Chromatographia, 2005The homoisoflavonoid content of 14 samples of Ophiopogon japonicus collected from different parts of China have been investigated. Three principal homoisoflavonoids, methylophiopogonanone A, methylophiopogonanone B, and 6-aldehydo-isoophiopogonanone A, were analyzed simultaneously by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with a binary ...
