Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope

IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1981
An instrument is described which functions as a low light level ocular fundus camera and ophthalmoscope, and which is capable of making a wide range of quantitative measurements in the eye. Light levels for ophthalmoscopy (20 ?W/cm2 at the retina) are at least two orders of magnitude below those in current use. A focused laser bearn forms a flying spot,

TV INDIRECT OPHTHALMOSCOPE

Acta Ophthalmologica, 1982
A prototype of TV indirect ophthalmoscope (black‐and‐white type) was developed to enhance education in ophthalmology. Its weight is 450 g, and pictures obtained were fairly satisfactory. The authors have used this ophthalmoscope not only for practicing indirect iphthalmoscopy by students, but also as monitoring device during retinal surgery.

Binocular Direct Ophthalmoscope

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1969
In the study of small areas of the fundus as the disc and macula, depth relationships may be of considerable importance. A binocular direct ophthalmoscope has been designed to accomplish such observation with greater simplicity than other techniques. The instrument produces a magnification of 15 times, an excellent stereoscopic effect, and is hand held.
