3D‐Nanoprinted Fluidically Steerable Soft Robotic Microcatheters

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work introduces a ∼3‐French (1 mm‐in‐diameter) soft robotic microcatheter fabricated by means of two‐photon direct laser writing. The 3D‐printed microcatheter enables remote, on‐demand steering via microfluidic actuation for guidewire‐free navigation of vascular networks as well as microcatheter‐mediated delivery of fluidic payloads to target ...

Opinion Dynamics: A Comprehensive Overview

open access: yesCoRR
Opinion dynamics, the evolution of individuals through social interactions, is an important area of research with applications ranging from politics to marketing. Due to its interdisciplinary relevance, studies of opinion dynamics remain fragmented across computer science, mathematics, the social sciences, and physics, and often lack shared frameworks.

Conformity and Mass Media Influence in the Sznajd Model on Regular Lattices

open access: yesEntropy
The polarization of opinions and difficulties in reaching a consensus are central problems of many modern societies. Understanding the dynamics governing those processes is, therefore, one of the main aims of sociophysics.

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Application of the Three-Group Model to the 2024 US Elections

open access: yesEntropy
Political polarization in Western democracies has accelerated in the last decade, with negative social consequences. Research across disciplines on antecedents, manifestations and societal impacts is hindered by social systems’ complexity: their constant
