OPL is a modeling language for mathematical programming and combinatorial optimization. It is the first language to combine high-level algebraic and set notations from mathematical modeling languages with a rich constraint language and the ability to specify search procedures and strategies that are the essence of constraint programming.

Notes on the practical utility of OPLS
TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 2009Abstract This article concerns two chemometric modeling methods – the well-known partial least squares regression and the comparatively recently-devised orthogonal projections to latent structures (OPLS). We discuss their similarities and differences with a focus on the usage of OPLS in the analytical-chemistry literature.

An improved OPLS–AA force field for carbohydrates
Journal of Computational Chemistry, 2002AbstractThis work describes an improved version of the original OPLS–all atom (OPLS–AA) force field for carbohydrates (Damm et al., J Comp Chem 1997, 18, 1955). The improvement is achieved by applying additional scaling factors for the electrostatic interactions between 1,5‐ and 1,6‐interactions.

The OPL Studio Modeling System
2004This chapter describes OPL Studio, a modeling system for combinatorial optimization. OPL Studio features a number of innovative features, including its modeling language OPL, its visualization and debugging facilities, and its integration in larger applications through code generation.

Constraint and Integer Programming in OPL
INFORMS Journal on Computing, 2002In recent years, it has been increasingly recognized that constraint and integer programming have orthogonal and complementary strengths in stating and solving combinatorial optimization applications. In addition, their integration has become an active research topic.
