Some new species of Oppiid mites from South Japan (Oribatida: Oppiidae)

Abstract Seven new oribatid mites of the family Oppiidae are described from Amami-Ohshima Island, South Japan. They are Oxyoppia clavata, O. incurva, Brachioppia japonica, Parasynoppia longisensillata, Oppia yuwana, O. actirostrata, and Senectoppia pectinata.
