Retrospective study on the occurrence of Salmonella serotypes in veterinary specimens of Atlantic Canada (2012–2021)

This study highlights the carriage of uncommon Salmonella serovars among equine and wildlife animal species. Several serovars of Salmonella spp. displayed invasiveness. The wildlife serovars were susceptible to the commonly used antibiotics. The serovars Dublin from farmed mink and Typhimurium from porcine species were resistant to several antibiotics.
