Design of Parabolic Off-Axis Reflector Optical System for Large Aperture Single Star Simulators
This study proposes a parabolic off-axis reflective optical system design method to reduce the wave aberration of the optical system of a large aperture single star simulator and improve the optical system’s imaging quality.

A magnetic liquid deformable mirror for high stroke and low order axially symmetrical aberrations [PDF]
We present a new class of magnetically shaped deformable liquid mirrors made of a magnetic liquid (ferrofluid). Deformable liquid mirrors offer advantages with respect to deformable solid mirrors: large deformations, low costs and the possibility of very

Image Reconstruction with Analytical Point Spread Functions [PDF]
The image degradation produced by atmospheric turbulence and optical aberrations is usually alleviated using post-facto image reconstruction techniques, even when observing with adaptive optics systems.

Refractive Surgery and Optical Aberrations [PDF]
The measurement of refractive-surgery-induced change of corneal aberrations was performed. The surgery altered the curvature of the central area of the cornea, reducing it in myopes and increasing it in hyperopes. It was found that the dramatic increase in spherical aberration is caused by a surgery-induced change in corneal asphericity. © 2001 Optical

Odd-Order Aberration-Cancellation in Correlated-Photon Imaging
We discuss a correlated two-photon imaging apparatus that is capable of producing images that are free of the effects of odd-order aberration introduced by the optical system.

Four-dimensional dynamic flow measurement by holographic particle image velocimetry [PDF]
The ultimate goal of holographic particle image velocimetry (HPIV) is to provide space- and time-resolved measurement of complex flows. Recent new understanding of holographic imaging of small particles, pertaining to intrinsic aberration and noise in ...

In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.
