[Measurement of accommodation using optical biometry].
Der Ophthalmologe : Zeitschrift der Deutschen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft, 2008Making accommodation possible for all age groups is a topic of great interest. We applied optical biometry in order to study the physiological mechanisms in detail. Longitudinal relations in the optical axis were measured during accommodation in volunteers of different ages and lens states.A total of 60 subjects (children, adolescents, adults, and ...

Optical biometry of biological tissues by ellipsoidal reflectors
SPIE Proceedings, 2013Possibilities of measuring systems that uses ellipsoidal reflectors for determining the optical parameters of biological tissue are studied. The modified inverse Monte Carlo method was designed for biomedical photometric system “biological tissue - ellipsoidal mirror”.

[Comparison between optical and acoustical biometry].
Journal francais d'ophtalmologie, 2005Our current standard biometric measurement was compared to IOL-Master measurement. One hundred sixty-two consecutive cataractous eyes were examined using the IOL-Master as well as the acoustic biometry combined with the Javal-Keratometer. In all eyes, the intraocular lens power to be implanted was chosen by means of the SRK/T formula, based on the ...

Small animal ocular biometry using optical coherence tomography
SPIE Proceedings, 2010A custom-built OCT system was used to obtain images of the whole mouse eye. We developed a semi-automated segmentation method to detect the boundaries of the anterior and posterior corneal, lens and retinal surfaces as well as the anterior surface of the iris.

[Placido topography combined with optical biometry--first results].
Klinische Monatsblatter fur Augenheilkunde, 2014Optical biometry for calculation of intraocular lenses (IOL) was introduced by Zeiss with the IOLMaster. A newly developed system combines both video topography and optical coherence biometry (BioTop). This allows not only the conventional calculation of IOLs but also enables the design of customised IOLs based on ray-tracing. This paper presents first
