Chromatic dispersion from optical fiber is the most important problem that produces temporal skews and destroys the rectangular structure of code patterns in the spectra-amplitude-coding-based optical code-division multiple-access (SAC-OCDMA) system ...

Optical fiber code-division multiple-access networks using concatenated codes
An optical fiber code-division multiple-access (CDMA) network is proposed in which encoding is based on the use of concatenated sequences of relatively large weight. The first short component sequence in the concatenated sequence permits realistic electronic encoding of each data bit.

ABSTRACT Background and Purpose White matter hyperintensities (WMH) are a core neuroimaging marker of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Sleep apnoea (SA) is a recognized vascular risk factor, but its associations with regional WMH burden, short‐interval WMH change and cognitive performance in population‐based cohorts remain incompletely defined. We

Memory and Resting‐State Connectivity in Acute Transient Global Amnesia: A Case–Control fMRI Study
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a striking model of isolated amnesia. While hippocampal lesions are well described, the network‐level mechanisms and the precise neuropsychological profile remain debated. Our objective was thus to characterize functional and neuropsychological correlates of acute TGA and their ...

A 16-channel reconfigurable OCDMA/DWDM system using continuous phase-shift SSFBGs [PDF]
We demonstrate a reconfigurable 16-channel optical code-division multiple access (OCDMA)/dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) system (4 OCDMA times 4 DWDM times 625 Mb/s) based on novel 31-chip, 40 Gchip/s quaternary phase coding gratings ...

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF IMPROVED SUPERIMPOSED CYCLIC OPTICAL ORTHOGONAL CODES (SCOOC) BASED OPTICAL ENCODER/DECODER STRUCTURE FOR 1GBPS OPTICAL CDMA SYSTEM [PDF]
In this paper, an improved form of two dimensional optical orthogonal codes is introduced for optical CDMA system by using just six lasers. This new technique not only reduces the length of the code but also improves the bit error rate (BER) performance ...

Optical Code Division Multiple Access for FTTH system
Many multiple access techniques have been proposed and demonstrated to provide flexible solutions for FTTH network configurations. The performance of this system suffers because of the correlation properties that contribute to a high level of Multiple Access Interference (MAI), low system capacity (users), and lower transmission rate. In this paper, we
